The buyer is a helper that buys tick speed upgrades based on its current level as well as a an upgrade to increase its discount when buying tick speed upgrades. The buyer activates its ability every second to buy any affordable tick speed upgrades. However, the Buyer is one of the few helpers with a cap to how effective it can be, unable to have a better discount than 50% of the price of the tick speed upgrades - if the Base Discount is already at 50% or higher, then you can't buy any upgrades for it.

In order to start every run with the highest discount possible without needing to purchase any upgrades it will require level 50. This also means it would be a bad idea to level up this helper beyond 50 as there will be no additional discount added, and it's not that useful to let it last longer when other helpers could take its slot instead.
